Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving 2015

So do we all know that, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day?
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada and the United States as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. It used to be just a holiday in Canada and United States but now, several other places around the world also observe similar celebrations.

Thanksgiving has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions and has long been celebrated in a secular manner as well. It might not be a popular convention or tradition in Hong Kong yet and that's why ZIZTAR wants to carry it forward as we should always be thankful of what we have!
The centre piece of contemporary Thanksgiving in the United States and Canada is a large meal, generally centred on a large roasted turkey.
According to what traditionally is known as "The First Thanksgiving", the 1621 feast contained turkey, waterfowl, venison, fish, lobster, clams, berries, fruit, pumpkin and squash with cranberry sauce; stuffing/or dressing; and gravy.
The Americans would actually say it is "incomplete" without all the sauce that we have just mentioned.

Yea I guess one of the good things about Thanksgiving is that you get to have Thanksgiving dinner with Brad Pitt!!!!  (One of the Thanksgiving episodes from FRIENDS)

Another good thing is you get to have huge turkey which is as big as your head! Or even bigger than you head in some cases! (One of the Thanksgiving episodes from FRIENDS)
